Friendships and Kindness
Year 3 explore friendship, kindness and resolving disagreements.
# Friendships and Kindness
In Year 3 we think about what makes a good friend and how to be kind.
What Makes a Good Friend
A good friend listens, shares and is honest. Friends do not have to be the same or like the same things. They enjoy each other's company and look out for one another.
Sorting Out Disagreements
Friends sometimes fall out. When this happens, talking calmly and listening to the other person helps. Saying sorry when you are wrong is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Including Others
Some children find it hard to join in. Inviting someone to play is a small act that can make a big difference. Kindness is something you can practise every day.
Try This
Think of one kind thing you could do today for someone at home or in your community. Do it, and notice how it makes you both feel.
